The Maltese Falcon (1941) is a timeless classic

Often regarded as the first film noir, it is a very entertaining movie and one of the finest made crime thrillers of all time. The best part of the movie are undeniably its dialogues, they are so sophisticated yet simple enough to remain in your head for a long time.Every single actor has done their roles to near perfection. Mary Astor does a very fantastic job as the 'femme fatale' and brings a certain innocence to her character which was often missing in similar type of roles since this film. But the biggest praise must go to the leading man, Humphrey Bogart. This was his first starring movie I had seen and now I realise why he is considered to be a legend. He portrayed his character Sam Spade with such smugness that you will love him one moment and hate him the next.It is definitely a must watch movie. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3gZpiLx
