I just watched "The Devil Wears Prada" for the first time and I loved it! Andreas friends and boyfriend however gets my blood boiling. Here are some reasons why:Her boyfriend and her friend Lily acts as if getting into the fashion industry is an atrocious act and they act as if she's selling drugs or something like that.They continuously act as if getting new clothes is a betrayal of everything she believed in. But in reality, Andrea stayed the same (personality-wise) throughout the entire movie. Getting a new appearance doesn't change the person you are.Lily immediately assumes the worst and starts yelling at Andrea for simply talking to another guy that isn't her boyfriend. She wasn't even flirting, just speaking to him.Now this one may be a little controversial but I personally don't think Andrea missing her boyfriend's birthday party is a big deal. They could have simply gone out another day just the two of them and in the real world not everyone has the privilege of getting the evening off their job just because it's their boyfriend's birthday. He needs to grow up.Her friends and boyfriend have no understanding of the pressure her work puts on her and the fact that if she steps just a tiny bit out of line she could very well lose her job. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2XuCNeq
