I've watched 'Speed' dozens of times and every time I feel sick when Harry Temple dies. He seems like such a genuine, hard working officer who cares for his partners and the community. What gets me is when he and the SWAT team are in Payne's house and look on Daniels' face when he sees the bomb. You can just see he knows he's doomed and is resigning to his fate. No, "Oh shit," or any line of dialogue. Just solemn, haunting silence.The fact that Jeff Daniels is awesome and that Hopper's Thomas Payne is such a gigantic prick just makes it that much more impactful.Also, fun fact, 'Dumb and Dumber' also came out in 1994, so Jeff Daniels played a character named Harry in two wildly different movies in the same year. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3h90QHy
