I remember seeing parts of this on TV when I was a kid. I decided to watch it on a whim and I thought it was pretty good. It was pretty affecting in spite of the subject matter and the main actor did a very good job with his portrayal of peril and trauma. The scene where he's getting probed on the UFO is pretty fucking terrifying and the actor did a fantastic job selling his terror. One complaint is that I found the ending lacking in resolution but overall it was a good watch.Aside from DB Sweeney who portrays the main character Travis Walton, it also has star power in Robert Patrick and James Garner who are in supporting roles. The aliens aren't overexposed and the special effects actually hold up pretty well.I think it's a good companion piece to its contemporary, The X Files, which began airing the year this was released.Interestingly Robert Patrick would later acquire a main role in that show as Agent Doggett.Any thoughts? via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2XZL1vm
