I lnow it got a couple of Oscar nominations back in the day and is partly responsible in introducing the world to the talents of Claire Danes and Kirsten Dunst, but I hope people don’t overlook it considering that Greta Gerwig’s version just got released. It’s such a wonderfully inspirational and deeply moving film with fully-realized characters. The collection of talent in the ensemble cast is jaw-dropping and they really brought these characters to life. It could’ve easily been an overly sentimental and melodramatic Hollywood drama, but Gillian Armstrong’s direction instead made it authentic and emotionally effective.I know that this subreddit’s demographic doesn’t lean towards this genre but I implore you not to dismiss this one. It’s well-worth your time. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2T4EjSI
