I thought for sure I wanted Joaquin Phoenix to win the Oscar, but after watching Marriage Story now I think Adam Driver should instead.

Adam is incredible in this movie. The role isn’t as showy as Joker but it’s a very difficult role and he knocks it outs of the park. It’s a slow build too. He does fantastic throughout the movie but he really shines near the end in a few key scenes.
