I'm Shawney Cohen, a VICE film director who just travelled to the safest and most dangerous places in the world to use drugs for my new film Rat Park. AMA. (Hint... It's probably time legalize.)

One year ago this week, my colleague Rachel Browne and I were standing over the bodies of two dead men in a morgue in downtown Manila. This scene is a pivotal moment in the film we recently finished, called Rat Park, that hinges on the radical Canadian experiment on addiction of the same name from the 1970's. If you're wondering what two dead bodies in Manila have to do with this rat experiment, well, the answer is everything.Vice has been covering issues surrounding drugs for a long time and in the film Rat Park we dive deep into drug policy and the social causes behind addiction and the overdose crisis. We examine countries who are trying to end the war on drugs by adapting compassionate drug strategies and decriminalize illegal drugs. Rat Park is currently streaming on Crave Canada.Film Trailer: https://ift.tt/3530KKH https://ift.tt/33Pz6R3 https://ift.tt/33RBNlk via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2Oe70bL
