Looking back, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s run of films in his 12-year prime period is amazing.

I'm not sure there's another actor with that many consistently great movies in such a short span that can match Arnold’s prime. With some exceptions, it's as follows:Conan the Barbarian 1982 The Terminator 1984 Commando 1985 Predator 1987 The Running Man 1987 Twins 1988 Total Recall 1990 Kindergarten Cop 1990 Terminator 2 1991 Last Action Hero 1993 True Lies 1994It's amazing to me not only the quality of films Arnold starred in, but also the top notch directors he has worked with. James Cameron (x3), John Milius, John McTiernan (x2), Paul Verhoeven, Ivan Rietman (x3). Obviously the guy was great and very selective at picking scripts, and recognizing talent when he saw it. I think True Lies was his last great film. What follows are medicre movies that soon devolve into outright bad movies. But holy shit, what a streak that was.Another interesting point is that this was a time before cinematic franchises and universes overload. So the films and stories he starred in were all unique and new for each film.
