I often have serious objections to how the rating system has devolved over the decades, and was just trying to see if people have noticed a lot of inconsistencies involving how movies are rated. Specifically, how many (soft) "Rated R" films become restricted to target demographics because of some frivolous nonsense that almost subjectively keeps them out of the more accessible "Rated PG-13" distinctions. But feel free to share any grievances you may have with other rating discrepancies, or the MPAA, in general.Just to get the conversation started, however... I'd like to submit these three examples:Titanic (1997) -- "Rated PG-13 for disaster related peril and violence, nudity, sensuality and brief language."The Matrix (1999) -- "Rated R for sci-fi violence and brief language."The Avengers (2012) -- "Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action throughout, and a mild drug reference." via /r/movies http://bit.ly/2Q9DeW9
