I’m not the type of person to hate on remakes of my beloved movies just for the sake of it (Aladdin’s my favorite Disney movie and I actually think the new one looks fun) but this new Lion King movie just looks so uninspired, it’s not out yet but from the trailer it’s pretty easy to determine they’re going for a similar look to the Jungle Book, and if that’s the case any excitement I have has completely vanished. This very realistic art direction is just boring, the environments are drab, the facial animations just seem.....odd (to me) and everything is just so colorless, they’re no joy in it but it seems that everyone’s to wrapped up in the impressive realism to acknowledge what makes the originals so memorable. via /r/movies http://bit.ly/2H6OzmM
