I mean, I've never seen anything like it. An 80 minute monster movie that's found footage should not hold up in 2019, but instead it's creative, shocking, and contains some very poignant and disturbing imagery that evokes 9/11 and a city in chaos. The screenplay is paced perfectly. Each scene flows great, and I really appreciate the time in the first 15 minutes to just set up the characters, and begin their development. The short run time also really helped pacing, as the entire film almost acts as one long scene. I was having a blast. Since the screenplay was so well written, when certain things happen in the film, you can truly understand why some of the characters act the way they do. Rob going back into the city to get Beth just made sense for his character, and I was actually surprised at how well they developed him. Not only that, but I was actively rooting for him. And holy fuck, that scene in the military compound where Marlena gets killed was one of the most shocking scenes I've seen in a long time. I was expecting a blossoming relationship between her and Hud, but instead, my god. Fucking brutal.I had a great time watching it. If you're on the fence, definitely watch. Aside from some spotty CGI (okay, bad CGI), it's an absolute joy to experience. via /r/movies http://bit.ly/2LEWc8C
