Who loved Overlord?

I just saw Overlord and need someone else to talk to about how great it is. The quality of the acting, the way it builds tension... I was so wrapped up in the terror of these guys making their way through a war zone, I completely forgot there were gonna be zombies. At the end, [spoiler] when Boyce was ready to jump back into battle and kick some butt, at first that felt false to me, but then I thought about it, and when you're fighting zombie-making dudes, you can let go of any ambiguity about war, thinking about how the men you're fighting are just scared people too. You can full-out be the good guy kicking ass and fighting evil, and that's a certainty war movies can't give us all that often. (Good war movies, anyway.)WWII movies fighting the Nazis are the closest we ever get to get to be the good guy unquestionably fighting for the right, so they threw zombies into that mix and cranked that feeling up to 11. Pretty smart. Also, the spinal column with a head begging for help was one of the more disturbing things I've seen in ages. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2TJW6z6
