X-2 is probably my favorite and arguably the best entry in the series, I've probably watched it about 25 times. In this mentioned scene, there's a throwaway line where Mystique takes off the guy's pants and says "velcro, nice".I always assumed this was just a joke to imply he's a lamewad.
