So I saw Aquaman today, and I can say the reactions weren't exaggerating, It's really fun, the action is spectacular, full of long takes and creative angles, the characters are all really colorful. But what impress me the most is how much this movie is willing to embrace cheesiness. For me, The Conjuring movies are so memorable because of the right amount of cheese, and James Wan does it again with this one. Pop music blasting with slow mo when Arthur and Mera comes out of water; Arc shot with Mera's smirk when she suddenly realizes something important; Being unabashedly melodramatic etc. Basically just not taking itself too seroiusly. Sorry if this post is being kinda vague, just wanna express my appreciation of what Wan brings to this movie. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2U880jI
