Does anyone else hate how, in every Christmas movie related to Santa, the kids believe in him, adults believe him a myth, then the plot insues, santa's revealed to parent, the kid goes all "SEE SANTA IS REAL!" then the adult goes from a cynical dick to hopeful and nice?In those stories, where do they even think the presents come from? My mom suggests that santa does that other thing that sitcom episodes do - in which the kid receives that one important gift they wanted, no one claims to have got it themselves, they look puzzlingly into the tree star, say "But where o' where could that present come from?", implying that santa was real all along - on purpose, always getting just one gift for every family, just to leave that one tiny hint of doubt whether he exists or not.Oh and when he does reveal himself to the world, he's gotta go on trial for some dumb odd reason.I'm sick of it. I just want santa to, be a thing. Like he exist, everyone knows it, and they're ok with it. Nobody has to worry about buying stuff for the holidays, nobody's gotta have their faith in humanity restored just because he reveals himself, there are plenty of other ways to do that. Santa clause is a real person/god/thing. We can write some new, interesting stories around that. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2rikgkl
